It’s all true – Mary is "From Away". She was born and raised at the Jersey Shore where she inherited her father’s love of body surfing, fried chicken beach picnics, and fishing off the jetties. These simple joys solidified her love of the deep blue sea. In 1995, her salty air roots drew her to the coast of Maine when her, now husband Michael, invited her to the Bumiller family cottage along the rocky shores of Vinalhaven. With that single trip, Mary’s heart and soul were bound for Maine and a life with Michael. In 2003, Rockland became their permanent home where they live today in a downtown, 1856 Victorian with their silly cats, Harry Houdini & Pawdrig McFluffypants.

Mary’s experience of moving to a new place on "a wing and a prayer" sparked her interest in assisting buyers and sellers to make their moves with solid information, guidance, compassion, understanding, well-earned hindsight, and planning expertise. Her Maine work experience is a balance of real estate brokerage and community banking. Her success in these two arenas is backed by a prior career in strategic marketing and client services. In 2009 Bangor Savings Bank recruited Mary to open and run their newest branch in Rockland. Her love of being outdoors, networking and exploring the Midcoast region drew her back into the real estate fold with a strong sales record in Knox, Lincoln and Waldo Counties.

Mary holds a master’s degree in Corporate & Public Communications from Seton Hall University where she received a scholarship to be a competing member of the university’s Brownson Forensic Speech & Debate Team. Mary enjoys traveling off the beaten path, skiing, hiking, golfing, yoga, gardening, public speaking, and meeting new people.
